A documentary recorded during the pre-civil war era in Somalia, showing the campaign started by the Revolutioniary Government in eliminating the Female Genital Mutilation (extreme form of gudniin). The documentary details a forum that discusses the effects of FGM and how to eridicate it. You will see glimpses of Mogadishu in the pre-civil war era, the interior of the Guriga Ummada (Peoples House), the Isbahaysiga Masjid (Mosgue) and many other snapspots reflecting the daily life of the Somali people in peaceful Mogadishu.
